1. Seller and contact
PBJ Studios LLC, a Georgia limited liability company, operates PBJStudios.com. Contact info@pbjstudios.com for orders, agreements, accessibility or other questions. Do not email passwords or full payment-card details.
2. Your order and agreement
Review the selected product, price, taxes, billing schedule, deliverables and applicable agreement before placing an order. A transaction-specific signed agreement or accepted order controls the subject it expressly addresses. Public reference templates do not replace the completed agreement for your order. Later website changes do not rewrite previously accepted licenses or commitments.
A demonstration or Stripe TEST checkout does not create a real charge, commercial license or service booking. TEST notices identify those flows. A disabled checkout is unavailable; do not treat a displayed price or preview as a completed purchase.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 to purchase products or services, join a membership or enroll in JOAT University, including free enrollment. Parent or guardian permission does not create an exception. Provide accurate information, use only authorized accounts and payment methods, and keep your login secure. Do not impersonate others, bypass access restrictions, distribute malware or misuse customer content.
4. Content and outside services
Viewing or previewing PBJ content does not grant ownership or general redistribution rights. Product-specific licenses define permitted uses. Third-party content remains subject to its owners’ rights. Links and embedded services have their own terms and privacy practices. AI-generated artwork is not a guarantee of copyright protection or third-party clearance.
5. Prices and payments
The accepted order states the amount, currency, applicable taxes and required charges before payment. Future prices may change without changing completed orders. Payment plans, additional work and rush work require a specifically accepted arrangement and disclosed price. Where Stripe checkout is used, enter payment details there, not by email. A return-page redirect alone does not prove payment or delivery.
6. Creative services and delivery
Joseph Leslie Leon personally performs paid mixing, mastering and other creative services. Cover art is the sole creative AI exception. Administrative order handling may be automated. Customer content is not authorized for AI mixing/mastering or other creative fulfillment, model training, or public posting merely because it was submitted.
Services are limited to the accepted order. You must have rights to supplied material; PBJ remains responsible for rights in its own contributions. Applicable production services include initial delivery and two revision rounds. Additional songs, replacement source material or materially changed scope require a separately accepted order; JOAT University is outside this revision allowance.
All purchased services are due within ten business days after payment and all required inputs are received. If the full purchased service is not received within that period, the customer is entitled to a refund of the full fee for that purchased service. The separate purchased-stems rule below is not replaced by this deadline. The order must identify the required inputs and delivery deadline. No unilateral extension or partial-refund limit is created here.
Any separately accepted rush work must state its price and shorter deadline. Marketing and promotion do not guarantee streams, sales, placements, followers or revenue. A marketing plan is a written plan unless execution is expressly part of the order.
7. Service files
PBJ retains client service deliverables for 30 days after sending them and may delete them afterward. Download and keep your own copy. This does not promise automatic deletion on day 30. Original vocal uploads may be kept for up to 30 days after final mixed delivery; retention is not guaranteed afterward. These rules do not silently limit purchased-beat entitlements or promise permanent erasure from all backups.
8. Beat licenses
A beat license grants stated uses, not automatic ownership of the underlying beat. Basic, Premium and Unlimited are nonexclusive. Exclusive grants exclusive usage subject to previously issued licenses, not an automatic copyright sale. Existing licenses retain their accepted scope after an exclusive sale; no additional lease or renewal is issued after that sale.
For new licenses, Basic permits 10,000 monetized audio streams; Premium and Unlimited each permit 500,000. Non-monetized audio streams do not count toward those limits. Each permits one music video, including monetization. Basic permits 10,000 monetized video views; Premium retains its view allowance until its monetized audio-stream limit is reached; Unlimited has no video-view cap. Non-monetized video views do not count toward a numerical view allowance. Film, television, ads and games require separate written permission for these nonexclusive tiers. Exclusive scope is defined in its own agreement.
All beat leases carry a 6% royalty on gross revenue from commercial exploitation of the licensed song. Payment and distributor stream-count screenshots or figures for each calendar quarter are due by the end of the next calendar quarter. January–March is due June 30. This lease royalty does not create an extra royalty on standalone engineering services or replace the separately agreed PBJ Records economics.
9. Stems and refunds
Basic and Premium do not include stems. A separately purchased $30 stems add-on may take up to two weeks. If PBJ cannot supply those stems, the $30 is refunded. Otherwise no voluntary add-on refund is offered, subject to mandatory remedies. Unlimited and Exclusive include stems requested within 30 days of purchase; if PBJ cannot provide them after a valid timely request, the stated remedy is $50.
After included production revisions, PBJ may consider a discretionary refund of up to 50% case by case. That is separate from the full-service non-delivery refund above. Downloaded license, membership, PBJ Records and JOAT fees are otherwise nonrefundable except as an accepted agreement or applicable law requires. No policy removes mandatory remedies for unauthorized charges, non-delivery or defective performance.
10. Memberships and JOAT University
A recurring order must disclose its price, billing frequency, minimum commitment, renewal and cancellation process before enrollment. Cancellation stops future renewals subject to any already disclosed minimum installment commitment, with access through the paid period. Deleting an account is not the same as cancelling billing. Contact info@pbjstudios.com about either action. Do not enroll through an unavailable checkout.
Beat membership selections do not roll over. Issued beat licenses survive cancellation under their original caps and terms. JOAT Builder bills monthly with three monthly payments owed; cancelling early does not remove those three payments, but stops renewal beyond that minimum. Architect renews annually. Grindset is one payment for three months and does not automatically renew. Only a qualifying Grindset upgrade within one week after expiry credits the amount actually paid toward a new full 12-month Architect term; later annual renewals are at the normal annual rate.
JOAT provides the educational materials and plan benefits stated in the accepted enrollment. No employment, credential, business or financial outcome is guaranteed. Personal course access does not authorize resale of course content.
11. PBJ Records
PBJ Records uses an approved quote and song-specific agreement. For covered releases, master ownership and master proceeds are 90% artist and 10% PBJ, continuing after cancellation and independent re-upload. Existing releases may remain distributed through PBJ unless the artist requests takedown.
PBJ retains rights in the beat it creates; artists retain their own lyrics and songwriting. Song-specific split sheets identify contributions and rights. Any publishing administration must cover services actually provided under defined agreed terms. These terms do not take 100% of the artist’s publisher income or the whole composition and do not invent an administration fee.
12. Reviews and publicity
Private service submissions do not give blanket permission for publicity, advertising, AI training or likeness use. Public Song Reviews use excerpts only and may include honest negative criticism on PBJ Studios Instagram, YouTube and TikTok. Public availability of a song does not itself authorize reuse, and excerpts are not automatically fair use. A lawful permission or other legal basis is required.
PBJ does not promise voluntary removal of a published review merely on request. Applicable valid rights-holder notices, platform requirements, court orders and mandatory legal duties remain controlling. Private or unreleased submissions are not automatically authorized for publication.
13. Privacy, disputes and changes
The Privacy Notice describes verified website practices and identifies remaining verification limits. Marketing permission is separate from agreeing to purchase terms.
Contact PBJ about order disputes. Nothing here prevents a truthful review, legally protected complaint, report to a regulator or nonwaivable consumer remedy. These website terms do not create a new mandatory arbitration agreement or impose all dispute costs on the customer. Any transaction-specific dispute provision must be separately disclosed and subject to applicable law.
Material changes require the notice and consent applicable to the change. Keep the accepted order and agreement version for your transaction. Existing accepted agreements are not retroactively replaced.
