The premise

Close the restaurant. Make it through the night.

Night 1 puts you alone with a list of ordinary closing duties. The money still needs counting and the tables still need wiping, even as the restaurant begins to feel wrong. Some dangers attack what you see and hear. Others can reach you. Every task draws your attention away from both.

How the horror works

Two kinds of fear. One closing shift.

Shadow monster

Something appears where it should not be.

Footsteps

You hear movement when nobody should be there.

Impossible figures

The restaurant stops agreeing with your senses.

Environmental decay

The familiar room changes around you.

Hidden sanity

Your perception is part of the danger.

Night 1

Finish the list.

  1. Count the Money
  2. Clean the Floors
  3. Wipe the Windows
  4. Wipe the Tables
  5. Clean the Grill
  6. Roll Silverware
  7. Exterior Trash
  8. Cancel No-Show Reservations
  9. Close and Secure the Restaurant

Routine is the trap. Every minute spent on work is a minute spent looking away from the room.

Development status

The Night 1 demo is in development. Its milestone is a packaged, playable shift with nine task systems, mental and physical threats, and a final escape.
